We consider dental health to be an imporant part of overall good health. A positive dental experience during childhood will result in an adult who maintains their own dental health.

We provide dental education and treatment to children and teens. Give your child the healthy start to a lifetime of oral health he or she deserves.

We accomplish this by providing comprehensive dental care, including but not limited to:

Regular cleanings and exams

Regular cleanings and exams should be done every 6 months. A thorough cleaning is performed and exams provide the oppurtunity to check any problems that may or may not be seen or felt.

Waterlase Laser Dentistry

Crown Point Dental Care is equipped with the Waterlase dental laser. Since there is no heat or vibration transmitted when using the laser, this reduces the need of needles and anesthesia. MANY DENTAL PROCEDURES CAN BE PERFORMED WITHOUT ANESTHESIA, IN MOST CASES. The Waterlase laser gently washes away decay with YSGG laser energized water droplets eliminating the discomfort associated with the drill.

Orthodontics

The purpose of orthodontic treatment is used to correc malocclusion through braces, corrective procedures and other "appliances" to straighten teeth and correct jaw alignment. This includes teeth that are protruding, crowded, crooked, or irregularly spaced. These often become noticeable between the ages of 6 and 12, as permanent (adult) teeth erupt.

Invisalign Teen

Invisalign teen aligners are made from a lightweight plastic material and fit precisely in the mouth. Since they are removable, you may take them out as needed to eat an drink and you can brush and floss with ease.

The clear aligners are virtually invisible. You can feel confident showing your smile even while wearing them.

Dental Sealants

Dental sealants are the thin coatings that are applied to the grooves on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth to protect them from tooth decay. Most tooth decay in children and teens occurs on these surfaces. Sealants protect the chewing surfaces from tooth decay by keeping germs and food particles out of these grooves.

Fluoride treatment

Fluoride is effective in preventing cavities and tooth decay. It also prevents plaque from building up and hardening on the tooth's surface. A fluoride treatment in a dentist office takes just a few minutes.

Habit Breaking Appliances

Frequent use of a pacifier or thumb can create a number of problems, such as anterior open bite, palatal changes, and tongue thrusting. Although these conditions can be corrected by orthodontics and/or surgical procedures in the future, early intervention is best.

A thumb sucking or orthodontic appliance may be recommended. These appliances block the thumb or fingers from being inserted into the mouth. Periodical visits are performed to check progress.

Sport Mouthguards

Protecting your child's smile while playing sports is essential. Mouthguards help protect the teeth and gums from injury. If your child participates in any kind of full contact sport, it is recommended that he or she wear a mouth guard.

Our office provides the service of customized mouthguards which are more effective in preventing injuries and more comfortable for your child.
